Frans Wesselman

Born in The Hague, Frans Wesselman qualified as a teacher of Art and Art History and then studied photography and print making at Groningen College of Art. In 1967 he was elected a member of the Royal Society of Printmakers and has exhibited in the Royal Academy summer show, the Royal Watercolour Society, the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol and other galleries throughout the country as well as in the Netherlands. The most ambitious of Frans's compositions reveal a keen structural sense and a feeling for design and surface decoration which call to mind those fifteenth-century Italian artists
