Richard Tuff was born in Manchester in 1965. He completed a degree in Textile Design at Winchester School of Art, showing his final year work in London.
Since graduating, Richard has sold design work to many companies in England and abroad. He has also sold work to be reproduced as magazine covers and card designs, and has been featured in several magazines and newspapers, particularly the front cover of The Lady and the Independent.
Richard moved to Falmouth in Cornwall at the end of 1988 and began to concentrate on his paintings. He printed his first silkscreen with Coriander Studios in 1993 and has transferred his gouache technique very successfully to the new medium. Since then his prints have gone from strength to strength with demand outstripping supply.
His work has a unique charm. His colours are rich and strong with many subtle changes of light and tone. He often paints Cornish harbours, towns and landscapes, each time capturing the essence of the West Country. More recentl
